|
Description
|
Possibly a place of interring bones rather than bodies and would have served local groups as an indicator of territory as well as a centre for religious type of meetings with sacred and spiritual connotations. This is spelt Esslie by Aubrey Burl but the local spelling is Eslie and either can be used. Near Mulloch Forest and above it is Esslie the Lessler and nearby in the forest is the Garrol Wood or Nine Staines RSC |
