Taken from them in 1314 by the Hays of Delgatie after the Battle of Bannockburn it was rebuilt around 1570. A major feature is the turnpike staircase with the widest span in Scotland. It has many historical artefacts and works of art and colourful painted ceilings dating to the mid 1590’s.
