Description This seagull, probably an immature herring gull, has clearly got tangled in angler's discarded fishing line and the line has wound so tightly around its leg that it has stopped blood flowing into leg and dropped off. Unfortunately for the gull, the leg is still attached to the line and it will probably have to drag its leg around like this for as many years as it lives as this line will not rot.
