Description Green Heron perched on its favourite branch after digesting fish which was a recent catch and "licking" his beak afterwards. A small dark heron that in flight looks crowlike but flies with bowed wingbeats. When alarmed it stretches its neck and elevates a shaggy crest. Short legs are greenish yellow.
