Description The last day of the 1950s log flume ride at Blackpool before it was closed and dismantled. Sept 2006 Alderman William George Bean founded Blackpools Pleasure Beach in 1896 and bought the 42 acre site Various rides, including the every popular Sir Hiram Maxim Flying Machines, were introduced, however. he First World War curtailed further development until 1921 when they were able to import new rides from the USA.
