Greenhouse gas reduction programme
© Blend ImagesAlamy has been working since 2004 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from air travel and electricity use.
We realise that a much bigger commitment is necessary to reduce the impact the company has on the environment. To this end we are continually looking at initiatives to help us achieve our goal of making the company greenhouse gas neutral. These include:
- Sponsoring a project to protect rainforests in South America.

- Investment in videoconferencing technology to reduce travel between our offices in India, the US and the UK.
- Using measuring technology to regularly record our energy consumption.
- Setting up a buy a bike scheme for employees.
