Jul. 07, 1955 - Steeping On The Gas Turbines: H.M.S. Gray Goose, British Navy World War II gun boat, is now a floating test bed. Two Rolls Royce, R.M. 60 marine gas turbine engines have been fitted to take the place of her original steam turbines, part of a development for the British Admiralty. Picture Shows Chief Engine Room Artificer G. Bandy, wearing special car muffs against the noise, with two experimental gas turbines engines in the Grey Goose.
1966 - 1894 Engine Makes A Come-Back: Making both a nostalgic return to the tracks of British Railways, and also it's motion picture debut, is the Highland 103 locomotive, built in 1894, and out of service for almost half a century. The veteran steam engine will be seen in 20th Century Fox's comedy spectacular ''Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines'', which deals with the early days of flying, and in particular the international air race from London to Paris in 1910.
