The Jolly Fisherman statue in Compass Gardens, Tower Gardens near the sea front in Skegness. The statue is based on a poster drawn by John Hassall in 1908. The “so bracing” slogan, that accompanied the poster, and of almost equal importance, is believed to have been the brainchild of an unknown member of the Railway Staff.
