  1. What is a Virtual CD?

Virtual CDs contain themed collections of royalty-free images for a set price. Instead of being on a disc, they are stored in your online Alamy account. You can download any or all of the images straight away from your account and access them time and time again.

  2. Why are your CDs virtual?

The Virtual CD has many advantages over its physical counterpart:

    • You can download the images straight after purchase rather than waiting for them to arrive in the post or via courier.
    • You do not have to pay additional postage or delivery fees.
    • Virtual CD images are always available for download and cannot be lost.
    • You can buy new material from contributors who do not sell on physical discs because of the packaging and mastering costs.

In summary, Virtual CDs give you instant and easy access to big brand and specialist royalty-free material at great prices.
