Senior Test Engineer

Responsibilities
- Plan, design and implement automation testing frameworks across the various web applications.
- Creation and maintenance of test plans for automation testing project assigned by the Test Manager and liaising with specific software engineers as appropriate.
- Identify the white box testing requirements; develop the unit testing strategy and framework as per that.
- Building the necessary automation test scripts from requirements and detailed technical specifications.
- Participate in all phases of the project, from review of requirements and design to final system testing and launch.
Experience / Skills required
- 4 to 6 years experience in IT industry with minimum of 2 years experience in automation testing.
- Hands-on experience in any of the functional automation tools like TestComplete, Silktest, Quick Test Professional, WinRunner etc.
- Experience in performing unit, functional and performance testing of web applications.
- Knowledge in release management process.
- Working experience on bug tracking and test management tools.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering or computer application.
Desirable
- Automation testing with TestComplete.
- Unit testing with HTML Unit, JUnit, PHP Unit or NUnit.
