Sometimes people who repeatedly ask 'please explain' either already know the answer or would be dubious of any answers anyway. This is such a complex issue I fear a forum such as ours could only ever dance around the edges.

Many thanks David for you (again) helpful suggestions to sort me out. I did sign up to the matter of contrast recently and you/the buyer (!!) should see a marked difference here. Ther rest I will certsinly look into and execute.
The Lakes were truly awful - especially for the poor people who are still there, having to clear the utter mess. I was talking to someone from Cockermouth this morning and he is in his 60's - born and bred there. He was so sad....................worst he has EVER seen, by far. Derwent Water (where I was) rose by around 5 or 6 feet in under four hours - the rainfall at top of Borrowdale was massive.

Nick,

What I can't fathom here is if you are shooting RAW then unless you're just leaving it to "auto wb", what are you calibrating to when you get it in the raw converter? Are you shooting a grey card or white card that's causing this or are you just leaving it to the camera raw default (in which case there's your problem).

Look at B8HA61 and B8E8J5 - they too have a green/cyan colour cast.

Whatever your workflow is for colour balancing your RAW files I think you need to review it.

Jaybee,
You may have hit nail on head. I shot it in cloudy WB and did post process. Didn't cal the WB in camera first. Workflow has NOW changed, that shot was about two years old.
Thanks for your help.

..and you've got a lot of areas which would be suitable for taking a WB dropper point.

Record single 24 hour rain in Cumbria, broke the UK all time mark apparently.....puts the lake into Lake District!

Tell me about it!! My car is very likely facing write off for flood damage!!

Right - it's green. I will not pursue MS as, if you can see it, they will have too! (should have gone to Specsavers).
It was shot on a Nikon D2X which WAS giving a green cast - other stuff seemed ok though (as it through QC ok).
I'll go back to it and rework.
Thanks all.

Hi fd!
Could be, I suppose but, it seems a bit picky?
Anyway, cheers - others may agree with you and then I will understand!

Hi all, after a dreadful week in the Lake District (poor people there) I have come home to a QC failure for colour cast.
This is a new one for me and as it was a straight RAW out of the camera I am puzzled. Haven't posted as I am NOT too bothered, but will take it up with Alamy MS who are very helpful. They won't change their minds but I would appreciate understanding why they see it as colour cast.
Anyone else failed on this one?
