Restrictions
Restrictions allow you to prevent your images being used in a particular way. You may want to restrict the use of your images in certain territories, industries or for sensitive issues.
- You can only apply restrictions to Licenced images and not Royalty Free images.
- Restrictions cannot prevent a sale to particular customer or a client based in a particular territory.
Editorial use only
Set these restrictions to sell your images for “Editorial use only”:
- All Countries; Advertising/Promotion; All Medias; All Industries; All Sub-industries
- All Countries; Consumer Goods; All Medias; All Industries; All Sub-industries
- All Countries; Direct Mail/Brochures; All Medias; All Industries; All Sub-industries
- All Countries; Display; All Medias; All Industries; All Sun-industries
- All Countries; Multimedia; All Medias; All Industries; All Sub-industries
- All Countries; Internal business use; All Medias; All Industries; All Sub-industries

2. Link to “More options” under image Adding restrictions
- Go to My Alamy.
- Under “Organise images”, click “Manage images”.
- Under an image click “More options”.
- If you set the image as Licenced (L) or Licenced Rights Protected (RP) you can add restrictions at the bottom of the page.
- Please note these are ways in which your image may not be used.
