Distribution sales currently account for 20% of Alamy’s revenue. Our distributors give you the chance to make additional sales and reach clients in countries Alamy doesn't currently target.
Benefits to you
- Increase your sales at extremely competitive rates of commission. You receive 40% of a distributor sale, whilst continuing to receive your standard commission for sales through Alamy (i.e. non-distributor sales).
- Continue to see when sales are made, and the territory or territories in which your images are being used.
- You choose the territories that you would like to sign up for. Our list includes all the major territories in the world.
We have continued to expand our distribution network during the course of 2010 and now have 71 distributors representing the Alamy collection in 99 countries worldwide. Our strategy is to appoint experienced distributors and to ensure that we have maximum coverage in the commercial and editorial markets.
