© Quinn PalmerWe are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for news and reportage photographers and owners of archival collections.
We are introducing a seperate upload route for contributors who fit into these categories.
This new Reportage/Archival upload facility allows selected contributors to upload certain editorial style images and
bypass our normal QC process.
These images can be smaller than we normally ask for and may feature
technical imperfections often inherent to news/reportage style imagery.
Images uploaded via this route should be at least 5MB (uncompressed)
and each group of images uploaded must fit into one of the following 3 categories:
- News (taken in the last 48 hrs)
- Reportage
- Archival/Historical
Images will bypass our normal QC process and will filter through to Manage Images to be keyworded in the normal way.
We have provided a page in My Alamy where you can apply to be considered for this new upload facility.
To be considered you will have to demonstrate that the images you provide fall into one of our 3 categories. We are looking for news shots taken in the last 48 hours or true reportage imagery.
If you want to contribute stock imagery or standard editorial images such as travel you should continue to use the normal upload process.
Successful applicants will be given an additional upload route for news/reportage or archival imagery.
The Reportage/Archival route has been developed using different technology than AlamyUpload. We hope to eventually replace the current upload tool with a new version using this technology.
