You may have noticed that as from today we have a new mouse-over image preview feature available on the search results. This has been introduced so customers can view larger versions of thumbnails quicker.
Of course we're sure most of you will now be wondering what this means for zooms and your CTR percentage moving forward. The honest answer at the moment is we're not sure. It's probable that you will see a reduction in zooms (mouse-over previews will not count as zooms) but clients will still have to click and zoom if they want to download a comp or view extra information on an image. Also, the mouse-over image preview feature is optional, so there will still be clients who do not use it and zoom in the normal way.
In terms of how this will effect AlamyRank, again, we will have to wait and see how clients use the feature. One thing to bear in mind is that everyone is in the same boat, meaning that none of you will be at any disadvantage in terms of ranking due to this new feature.
