I'm pleased to announce that following our successful trial with 10 contributors, the long awaited revamp of annotation tools (called Manage Images v2.0) has today been rolled out to a further 50 Alamy contributors. By the end of the week we hope to have rolled it out to 250. We are taking this gradual approach as it has served us well in the past and is a sensible approach to a fundamental shift such as this. The first 250 will also be asked to complete an online questionnaire.
You will receive an email if you are one of the lucky 250.
If the roll out to the 250 passes without a hitch we will continue the roll out to all contributors. You will receive an email when you have been given the new tools, alternatively look out for the Manage Images v2.0 link in My Alamy. We will be posting blog updates to keep you informed of progress.
We will be making incremental changes to the tools over the coming months and we are already nearing completion of the next version which has some additional functionality.We wanted to launch this version as soon as possible to give contributors the benefit of the tools. The changes will partly be driven by feedback from the initial group.
Please do not email us to ask to be included in the next batch as we have already decided on our running order for roll out.
