LATEST UPDATE 29/01/09 , Unfortunately our ISP has a problem they are still trying to resolve, if you see the 'AlamyUpload is not working' message on the Upload page there is no need to contact us. At present we do not have a resolution time but we expect it to be today (Thursday)

We have been informed by our ISP to expect some connection problems from Monday 19th 22:00 to Tuesday 20th 09:00 GMT whilst they carry out essential maintenance. As AlamyUpload uses this connection, we we have reluctantly decided to take it off line during this time. Please accept our apologies for this further interruption to AlamyUpload.

UPDATE: As per our original blog post we were told to expcet problems until 09:00 GMT on Tuesday 20th. Aside from the recent power failure and ISP issues which were beyond our control, we have been monitoring the performance of AlamyUpload. Please understand that with so many factors involved at both our end and the contributors end, and all points in between, often it is very difficult to effectively diagnose problems. However, we have identified some issues at our end that are causing intermittent problems. We are addressing these problems, some of these are short term fixes and others will require longer term restructuring of our set up.

To help us resolve all issues effectively and to maximise our efforts can we ask that if you report an Upload error to Member Services but find that soon afterwards you are able to upload again can you let us know, so we can stop pursuing that line of investigation.

To clarify, all of our Upload hardware is based in the UK, overall the uptime of the system is very good and most submissions are arriving without delay.

Many thanks for your patience and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience
