Alamy has teamed up with rights licensing experts Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) to help create a revolutionary new way for corporations to access pre-licensed images for internal business uses.
'ReadyImages' is a corporate-wide subscription service where subscribers to the service pay an annual subscription fee to use all the images they need for a range of internal communications needs, such as training and HR materials, company newsletters, emails and intranet postings, as well as in client, partner and tradeshow presentations.
This initiative is part of our Novel Use scheme as outlined in our previous post
The exact return to individual contributors will be dependant upon the take up to the subscription scheme and the number of images downloaded, we will make more details available as the project progresses.
The pool of images made available consists of those signed up to the Novel Use scheme where we feel the correct model and property releases are in place or where no release is required. As a result of working on this project with the CCC we have been looking closely at the model and property release information attached to images in the Novel Use scheme. We have already contacted some contributors querying the validity of the information given and have removed some images from the pool where we are not satisfied that the images are free from any release issues.
With this and future projects in mind, whether signed up to Novel Use or not, please be extra vigilant when giving us information regarding releases. You run the risk of missing out on revenue oportunities if the information you provide is not correct.
