If you haven’t got the time, motivation, linguistic talents or inspiration to keyword your images then why not get someone else to do it for you?

We appreciate there are many of you that would rather be out with your camera than sitting in front of your computer. However, it doesn’t matter how fantastic your pictures are if they do not have the necessary keywords behind them. Poor keywording means they simply will not be getting the visibility they deserve. Yes, unfortunately the accurate keywording of your images is a necessary evil.

We have been working with external companies that offer keywording services to ensure that they understand the format required for Alamy and the differing importance of our keywording fields. These companies range across different countries, services they offer and of course price, but the good news is they will all give you a discount if you want to use them to get Alamy formatted keywords. The result of a recent audit means we are pleased to recommend the services of all of them.

So why not check out the approved keywording company list and see if they can help you put down your dictionary and pick up your camera?

I keyworded every pictures correctly long time ago, however I do not know when will be the next step of the Alamy rank comes? Do we have to hire externe company to update our keyword again???

Will these companies work directly on images that we have uploaded? If so, can we trust them with our passwords - or is there a "workaround"?

Does anyone know what something like this costs. I checked all of the UK and USA company websites listed. None of them list the cost. A rough estimate would help.

    Thanks in Advance

    This from one of them:

"Reviving the deteriorated photographic exposures back to originality!! xxxxx’s creditworthiness is unimpeachable!"

Sounds like a cross between Mrs Malaprop and George Bush

Keywording can be replaced with new innovative technologies now. For example our company (Visual-Search) develops visual based engines which can do indexing automatically and do perfect search. We have requests for our solutions from some big photo agencies. It seems to be next step in search engine development.
    What do you think?

Another step in the Alamy Shuffle - Two steps forward, one step back.
You're now encouraging just the sort of lazy and inaccurate keywording that results in frustration for art buyers an enhanced argument for using an edited stocklibrary.
I just searched for 'protest San Francisco' and, among other duds that had nothing to do with San Francisco, saw this in the first 20 shots:

Why are only the keywords in the Comprehensive box shown in the image previews?
