We’re always keen to involve you in the testing of various software, systems and applications designed for use by Alamy contributors. These are usually internally developed tools such as AlamyUpload, the new Annotation fields and AlamyMeasures but may also include third party software that is designed to be compatible with Alamy.

Over the coming months we will be needing volunteers to help in the beta-testing of various new tools. Getting contributor input helps us to be confident that we’re developing tools that meet your needs and allows us to make improvements if needed. Your feedback is also very useful to various external organisations who are designing applications for use by Alamy’s contributors.

Whilst it may be that for some testing you would have to visit our offices in Oxfordshire, the majority of testing will be open to contributors worldwide and can be carried out from your home or office.

If you’re interested in helping out, please send an e-mail to Member Services with "Beta testing application" in the subject line. We’ll then add you to our list of potential testers, and get in touch with more details if and when required.

At present we don’t have any more details of what will be required of you so please don't ask us any specific questions with regards to the testing.

Musing that I'd like software to place IPTC metadata directly into the spreadsheet. It'd be nice to have a column in the ss containing the image thumbnails.

I am not sure if this is the right place but would it be possible to include some special keywords in the keywords that allow us to set License type, Number of people, release (Yes/No).

    e.g. @License=RF, @people=3 etc
